XMUM Faculty Member Publishes in Tier-1 SCI Journal of Electrochemistry
The Office of Research and Innovation congratulates Prof. Dr. Zheng Jin-Cheng on his role as joint corresponding author of a paper entitled “Porous carbon anchored titanium carbonitride for high-performance supercapacitor.” The paper was published on 1 March 2019 (Page 138-145, Volume 304) in Electrochimica Acta, the official journal of the International Society of Electrochemistry. Prof. Zheng co-authored the paper with 8 other scientists affiliated with Shanghai University, Xiamen University (China), and Xiamen University Malaysia. This project was led by Assoc. Prof. Yan Hao, Assoc. Prof. Dai Yang and Prof. Li Wenrong from Shanghai University and Prof. Zheng at XMUM/XMU.
Process from TiO2 nanotube to high-performance flexible symmetric solid state supercapacitor.
The authors stated the significance of their study:
“This work may not only pave the way for designing and preparing materials for high performance supercapacitor, but also open new opportunities in emerging flexible and integrated energy storage devices. The high power flexible supercapacitor has the potential to be applied in the wearable electronics. Furthermore, the method presented in this work provides a general procedure to generate carbonitride/carbon composite materials for other applications such as fuel cells and air batteries.”
