Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre congratulates Zhang Yuxin, an undergraduate student from Electrical and Electronics Engineering Programme, Xiamen University Malaysia, for winning Silver Medal at the International Creative Innovation Idea Competition (ICIIC) Series 1/2024.

Titled “Optimization Cooling System of Photovoltaic Thermal Collectors System for Sustainable Green Technology”, the winning project was conducted under the supervision of Ts. Dr. Kang Chia Chao. 

This project proposed a method to optimize the cooling of photovoltaic (PV) system, integrating an Internet of Things (IoT) based control system to manage the operation of the cooling system. It allows the user to remotely monitor and control the cooling system, further optimizing energy use and effectively reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the long run.

ICIIC Series 1/2024 is an innovation competition aimed to unite professionals and students, encouraging them to utilize their creativity while working independently or collaboratively. They are encouraged to work in teams with industry, government and community partners, identifying issues related to accessibility and devising innovative, unique solutions to address them.
