2022 IEM Talk & Recruitment for Engineering Programme was held at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 3 October 2022, signaling the initiation of an cooperation between the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) and XMUM.

The registration for IEM-XMUM Student Section was opened for students in engineering degree programmes – Chemical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering - during the event day. Student members will be able to gain recognition for their engineering competence and professional accomplishment, and will be exposed to a wide professional network both in Malaysia and internationally.

The event also included a talk by Ir. Kim Kek Seong from IEM, and a Q&A session for students. The event was supported by the advisors of IEM-XMUM Student Section – Dr. Yee Kian Fei, Dr. Tan Peng Chee and Asst. Prof. Ir. Dr. Chua Ming Yam.
