Dr. Wong Lai-Wan Publishes on the Adoption of Blockchain among Malaysian SMEs
The Research Management Centre congratulates Dr. Wong Lai-Wan from School of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Xiamen University Malaysia on her recent publication entitled “Time to seize the digital evolution: Adoption of blockchain in operations and supply chain management among Malaysian SMEs” in the International Journal of Information Management (Elsevier, US; Clarivate Analytics; Tier-1 in Social Science Citation Index (SSCI); JCR-2018, IF = 5.063; Australian Business Deans Council - A*). XMUM Student Rank Top 5 in ABB Intervarsity Innovation Challenge
The Innovation Center congratulates XMUM Information and Communication Technology (ICT) student Gan Qi Wen for ranking Top 5 in ABB Intervarsity Innovation Challenge 2019. Organized by ABB Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the final round of the competition was held on 21 October 2019 at Le Meredien Hotel Kuala Lumpur, with the theme “Writing the future of Digitalization and Sustainable Technologies”. During the event, Gan Qi Wen presented his project themed “Low Latency Technology” and won a cash prize of RM 1,500.
Five XMUM Students Attend the Future Aircraft Innovation Competition
On July 20 2019, the finals of the 5th Flying Shark Cup National Graduate Future Aircraft Innovation Competition was held at Xiang'an Campus of Xiamen University. Five XMUM students were invited by Prof. You Yancheng, the Executive Dean of the School of Aerospace Engineering, Xiamen University to observe the competition. The five students are Wu Yunze (Computer Science and Technology), Nie Lan (Digital Media Technology), Ren Xin (Software Engineering), Ye Xiaofeng and Lin Yuhan (both from Electrical and Electronic Engineering). XMUM Team Won Bronze Medal at ICPC Malaysia Programming Contest
On Saturday 27 April, the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Malaysia al-Khawarizmi National Programming Contest 2019 took place at International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Three teams from XMUM entered the contest and all of them ranked among the top seven, out of 36 competitors from across Malaysia.
XMUM Students Won Excellence Prize at 2018 BaiLu Cup Cyber Security Competition
A team of students from XMUM participated in 2018 BaiLu Cup Cyber Security Competition held at Xiamen University China (XMU) and won the “Excellence Prize” with a reward of RMB 1000 on 24 and 25 November 2018.Aimed at cultivating the spirit of innovation and team work, the competition is held annually since 2015 to select, train, and recommend talents in the field of cybersecurity. The School of Information Science and Engineering, XMU China and Meiya Pico, a leading digital forensics and information security products and service provider in China, co-hosted the event.
XMUM Wins Second Prize at the 9th China Students Service Outsourcing Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition
The Office of Research and Innovation congratulates the XMUM student team from the Software Engineering Programme for winning Second Prize at the 9th China Students Service Outsourcing Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held on 30 May - 1 June 2018 at Wuxi city, Jiang Su Province, China. The team was supervised by Prof Dr Lin Juncong from the School of Software, Xiamen University, China. A total of more than 5,000 teams participated in the competition. The XMUM team, ranked top 5%, was shortlisted to enter the final phase of the competition.
