Dr. Gan Wee Chen and Students Publish in SCI Tier 1 Journal
The Research Management Center congratulates undergraduate Jason Koay Soon Chye and Assistant Professor Dr. Gan Wee Chen from Department of New Engineering Science and Engineering (NESE), School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, on publishing a research article entitled “An Overlapped Electron-Cloud Model for the Contact Electrification in Piezo-Assisted Triboelectric Nanogenerators via Control of Piezoelectric Polarization”, as first author and corresponding author, respectively.

Dr. Ong Wee Jun Named as Young Chemists 2020 by Chemistry–A European Journal
The Research Management Center congratulates Associate Professor Dr. Ong Wee Jun from XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering on his recent accomplishment of being highlighted and featured in the 2020 Young Chemists of Chemistry – A European Journal, a prestigious journal under Wiley-VCH on behalf of Chemistry Europe with a latest impact factor of 4.857. The Young Chemists 2020 Special Collection features young and emerging scientists from around the world.
XMUM Undergraduate Co-authors Research Article in SCI Tier-1 Journal
The Research Management Center congratulates Chen Weichen, an undergraduate student from XMUM New Energy Science and Engineering (NESE) programme on co-authoring a paper entitled “Electrospinning-Based Strategies for Battery Materials” on 24 June 2020 in Advanced Energy Materials, a peer-reviewed SCI Tier-1 journal with an impact factor of 25.25. The paper is a collaboration with researchers from Fujian Normal University, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Sydney.
Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup Receives ACYLS 2020 Award
The Office of Research Management congratulates Dr. Andrew Ng Kay Lup from School of Energy and Chemical Engineering for being chosen as the recipient of the ASEAN China Young Leaders Scholarship (ACYLS) 2020 Award.The ACYLS award is an initiative funded by the Chinese government to honour researchers and scientists for their commendable contributions to ASEAN member states. Each year, 20 professionals or researchers from ASEAN member states will be honoured by the award, in order to promote academic and vocational exchanges between China and ASEAN.
