The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre congratulates 5 teams from Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) for bringing back 4 Silver Prizes and 1 Bronze Prize from the 2025 China International College Students' Innovation Competition (CICSIC). 

The China International College Students' Innovation competition is organized by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. As one of the largest global innovation competitions, in 2025, it attracted 24.43 million participants from 5,673 universities, with 6.19 million projects submitted. 

Among the 5 awarded teams, 4 teams were also recognised in the 2025 Southeast Asia Division Contest of China International College Students’ Innovation Competition (SEA-CICSIC), receiving 2 first and 2 third prizes in the SEA-CICSIC. Co-organised by Xiamen University Malaysia and Xiamen University China, the SEA-CICSIC served as the Southeast Asia division contest for the CICISIC.

Gasphere (SEA-CICSIC First Prize)

Description: Gasphere is an AI‑driven gas‑source tracking system that fuses four technologies - CFD simulation, Transformer‑based risk zoning, low‑cost infrared imaging, and CNN leak localisation - into a single closed loop: Predict → Place → Monitor → Pinpoint. CFD builds a physics‑accurate dispersion model; the Transformer extracts the top‑risk coordinates, letting users deploy only a handful of IR cameras. The CNN then delivers sub‑second leak detection and sub‑meter source coordinates, turning raw thermal frames into actionable alarms. Compared to conventional multi‑sensor grids or static camera arrays, Gasphere cuts hardware spend by more than 50%, slashes maintenance overhead, and shrinks emergency response time from minutes to seconds.

BUZZ Financial Media Network (SEA-CICSIC First Prize)

Description: Buzz is an AI-powered financial media platform transforming banking and eWallet apps into the next most valuable media channel in the advertising industry, while improving the lives of everyday shoppers. It harnesses payment data to deliver hyper-personalised, brand-funded cashback offers, helping consumers save on daily essentials. Advertisers benefit from higher ROI through performance-based targeting and only pay when a sale happens. The AI not only personalises offers but also helps platforms and brands understand shoppers better, creating a fairer, smarter ecosystem where users, not just platforms, benefit from marketing spend. As validation, it has already onboarded TNG eWallet, Malaysia’s largest eWallet, with over 20 million users as our first publisher.

Oralytics: A Visual Risk Companion (Powered by Lightweight AI for Early Oral Cancer Insight) (SEA-CICSIC Third Prize)

Description: Oralytics is a lightweight AI-powered visual risk companion designed for early detection of oral cancer. It features a structured-data model that requires no imaging, enabling scalable deployment in under-resourced clinics. The product includes a Model Service Kit for healthcare providers (B2B) and a Companion App for high-risk individuals (B2C), such as middle-aged smokers and betel nut chewers. By visualizing behavior-linked risk in a user-friendly way, Oralytics empowers early action and bridges the gap between clinical-grade AI and real-world accessibility.

BioWealth Tech (Bio-Asset Financial Platform Based on Blockchain, IoT, and AI) (SEA-CICSIC Third Prize)

Description: BioWealth Tech has developed an innovative "Biological Asset Value Assessment and Financial Service System" by combining Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, and blockchain technologies. The system collects real-time data from livestock, such as body temperature, heart rate, and feed intake, and then cleans, models, and visualizes this information to help ranchers manage their herds more effectively and make smarter decisions. All data is encrypted and recorded on the blockchain to enable authenticity, traceability, and secure sharing with financial institutions, which can then provide tailored loans and insurance services through smart contracts. This "One System, Two Platforms" model includes the BioAsset Manager platform for ranchers' daily operations and the PremiumBio Connect

Intelligent Technology – The Leader in High-Precision Intelligent Packaging Technology
