XMUM Starts New Semester with Its First Postgraduate Programme
Laughter, chatter and cheers could be heard throughout the campus on 13 & 14 April 2019. With over 900 young talents joined Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) for the April intake, the total enrollment of the university reached 4,600.
To ease their transition into XMUM, an orientation themed “X’Eve: Rise” was held for the new batch of students. Briefings, games and other team bonding activities were organized to help them familiarize with the campus and their classmates. It culminated in the gala night, with exciting performances brought forth by several societies and a short skit by the orientation facilitators and game-masters.
Marking a milestone in the development of the university, the first XMUM postgraduate programme, Master in Business Administration (MBA), welcomed its first batch of students this April.
Orientation Organizers from Student Affairs Office & Student Recruitment Office
A well-designed briefing session was specially organized for the MBA students. As many of them are working adults, both the registration and the briefing were scheduled on 13 April (Saturday) for their convenience. Students were briefed about XMU founder Mr. Tan Kah Kee and the development of the university, as well as rules and regulations of academic affairs and financial issues. By the end of the briefing, students were ready and couldn’t wait to start their new and exciting academic journey at XMUM.
