The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates two academic staff members from Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) for securing the Public-Private Research Network (PPRN) grant from the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education. This marks the first time XMUM has been awarded the PPRN grant.

The two recipients, Dr. Tan Jian Ping and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ban Zhen Hong from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, have collectively received a total grant of RM239,005.40.

PPRN is an innovative initiative by the Ministry of Higher Education aimed at promoting demand-driven innovation programmes to boost industry productivity and support Malaysia’s economic growth. The government provides matching grants to facilitate the development of these projects, strengthening public-private partnerships through collaboration with Higher Education Institutions and Public Research Institutions to deliver industry solutions.
