This forum was held during the China-Japan University Exhibition and Forum in Guangzhou, China. During the forum, Prof. Wang also had individual talks with the Japan university presidents and vice-presidents from Waseda University, Tokyo Metropolitan University, Kochi University, etc. to explore the potential collaboration on academic exchanges.

The annual forum, co-sponsored by State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, P.R. China and Japan Science and Technology Agency, began in 2010 and has been alternately held in China and Japan.
