XMUM President, Prof. Wang Ruifang, attended the 11th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW) held in Guiyang, China on 26 & 27 July 2018. The theme of this year’s CAECW is “A New Beginning for Educational Cooperation, a New Future for Cultural Exchange”.

During the CAECW, President Wang gave a keynote speech at the Guizhou-ASEAN Cross-Border Pedagogy Forums on Enhancement of Educational Fusion and Collaboration. Drawing from the experience of establishing and developing XMUM, President Wang shared his insights on “Overseas Campus and Education Resources Integration”.

President Wang also attended the China-Kazakhstan University Rector’s Cooperation Dialogue to explore the opportunities for establishing friendly cooperation between XMUM and universities in Kazakhstan.

Co-hosted by Ministry of Foreign Affairs China, Ministry of Education China and Guizhou Provincial People’s Government annually in Guizhou since 2008, CAECW has been a high-level platform to promote cultural and educational exchanges between China and ASEAN countries. Co-organizers of CAECW include Guizhou Provincial Department of Education, Guizhou Provincial Office of Foreign Affairs, ASEAN-China Centre and Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization.
