One main reason I decided to enroll at XMUM is that it is a branch of one of the most prestigious universities in China. Meanwhile, the New Energy Science and Engineering programme has captured my interest more than other programmes offered by various institutions.

University life is very different from what I expected. My parents and older cousins always told me that university would require a lot of discipline, with little to no free time because we’d always be studying. However, after a month here and experiencing different aspects of campus life, I’ve realized that with good time management and a sense of responsibility, everything can be balanced and kept under control.

Looking ahead, my expectations for the future are high, especially with the program I’m currently pursuing. I hope to achieve financial success, either by collaborating with like-minded individuals who share my background and ambitions or by following the path of becoming a successful entrepreneur.

I chose XMUM because the Chinese Studies Programme stood out to me due to its exceptional faculty and high-quality teaching. Additionally, the university’s location is ideal, allowing me to stay close to my family and friends.

One of the most memorable experiences here was participating in the orientation organized by the Student Union. This experience enhanced my leadership and communication skills and allowed me to connect with like-minded individuals. It also deepened my understanding of various cultures, making me feel fulfilled and satisfied in this diverse campus environment.

Looking ahead, I hope to secure a job in Singapore, where I can apply the knowledge gained from my studies in China to promote Chinese culture. At the same time, I plan to continue my education by pursuing a master’s degree to further enhance my professional skills.

Because there are only a few universities in Malaysia that offer the Traditional Chinese Medicine course I am interested in and currently enrolled in, I chose to study here. Additionally, I love the green environment, which is well maintained by the university’s groundskeeping staff. I am especially grateful for the scholarship I was fortunate enough to receive.

Having studied at Xiamen University Malaysia for over a year, one thing I find particularly interesting is the opportunity to interact with international students. I also appreciate the variety of clubs at XMUM, as they host many unique events for students to participate in.
I am determined to study hard and graduate with flying colours. My dream is to become a skilled TCM practitioner, saving lives across Malaysia and, perhaps, even in other countries.

I chose XMUM because I’m interested in the advertising course and wanted to study abroad in a nearby country. In addition to enhancing my academic knowledge, I also hope to build a global network of peers and industry professionals.

University life has been both similar to and different from what I imagined. I expected a dynamic environment with many opportunities to meet new and diverse people, and I’ve definitely found that. However, my expectations about assignments have changed; I now realize that achieving good grades requires significant effort and hard work, while also competing in a healthy way with others.

Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a master’s degree to deepen my knowledge and expertise in advertising. My goal is to secure a well-paying job that aligns with my studies, allowing me to apply what I’ve learned in a practical, professional setting.

I chose XMUM because it is renowned and accredited for its high-quality education. The university offers a comprehensive learning program that goes beyond theory, providing practical experiences that enhance my understanding.

Initially, I anticipated that my university life would be overwhelming, as I had little background in economics and had never lived abroad. However, I've truly enjoyed making friends through group projects and embracing new cultures. While managing my time has been a challenge, it has also helped me develop essential skills for my future.

In the short term, I aim to achieve academic excellence and graduate from Xiamen University Malaysia, all while honing my social skills to better prepare for the professional world. Long term, my goal is to become a top digital operations manager at a leading global e-commerce company. I am eager to gain new experiences, sharpen my abilities, and expand my knowledge in digital marketing and e-commerce.
