Minister Counsellor Chen Chen, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Malaysia, paid a visit to Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 30 March 2018. 
XMUM Assistant President Dr. Zhang Ying warmly welcomed Minister Counsellor Chen on behalf of the university. Ms. Li Xiaowen, PA to President, then briefed Minister Counsellor and his team on the current development progress of XMUM.

Minister Counsellor Chen is deeply impressed by XMUM’s progress and its commitment to educational excellence. He reiterated Chinese Embassy’s support for XMUM and pledged that the embassy will continue to provide outstanding services for XMUM staff and students. 

During the campus tour, Minister Counsellor Chen dropped by the class of Cross-Cultural Communication and listened to student presentations, before touring the recently established Apple Computer Lab. He also visited the Southeast Asia Studio of Xiamen Star TV located at the campus of XMUM.
