Spring Tea Gathering Brings Students Together at XMUM
On February 26, 2026, the XMUM Tea Club hosted the "Spring Tea Gathering" at B1, First Floor, Xiamen University Malaysia. The event attracted over 150 students from diverse international backgrounds, all coming together to explore the rich heritage of tea culture.
In line with the "New Year" theme, participants visited the Tea Tasting booth, where spring tea was thoughtfully paired with traditional New Year cookies, offering a delightful blend of flavors. For those interested in a more immersive experience, the Art of Brewing booth featured hands-on workshops. Under the guidance of two experienced instructors, students were introduced to the techniques and mindfulness involved in tea preparation.
Adding a cultural dimension to the event, the XMUM Nanqiang Calligraphy Society invited participants to try traditional Chinese brush calligraphy, allowing them to engage with another aspect of Chinese heritage. Nearby, the Wishing Wall became a highlight, as students wrote down their hopes and aspirations and displayed them together, creating a shared expression of community spirit.
The lively atmosphere was further enhanced by interactive activities at the Game Booth, as well as a selection of unique refreshments, including savory Herbal Eggs and refreshing Lemon Cold Brew Tea.
To encourage participation across all booths, students took part in a “booth-hopping” activity. Those who collected signatures from each station earned a chance to join the lucky draw at the Reward Booth. The event concluded on a joyful note, with participants leaving not only with prizes, but also with new friendships and memorable experiences.
