The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre congratulates two teams from Department of English Language and Literature for receiving prizes in the French Francophonie Comic Competition “Compétition de la Francophonie 2024”, organized by the French Embassy and the Malaysian French Teachers Association.

This event celebrates the creativity and artistic expression of students, fostering a deeper appreciation for the French language and culture. By participating in such events, students can enhance their linguistic skills and gain confidence in their creative abilities. 

The two teams achieved second and third place in the competition, showcasing their unique storytelling abilities through the medium of comics. 

Second Place Winners: Tan Rou Jing, Jason Koo, Tan Ming Kheng, Wang Bingxiang

The team that clinched second place demonstrated exceptional collaboration and creativity. Their comic not only captured the essence of the theme, but also engaged readers with humour and insightful commentary.

Third Place Winner: Wang Yuchen

Wang Yuchen impressed judges and peers with her talent and originality. Her comic’s unique perspective and artistic flair brought the story to life through expressive illustrations.
