XMUM Students Claim Top Honors at the 6th International Chinese Proficiency Competition

On 2 November 2024, the 6th International Chinese Proficiency Competition (Singapore-Malaysia Region) concluded successfully, with students from the Department of Chinese Studies (CHS), Xiamen University Malaysia achieving remarkable results. Competing in both Singapore and Malaysia, CHS students won top awards in the Adult Individual and Adult Team categories.
The competition, which featured a total prize pool of 26,000 SGD, awarded 66 team prizes and 14 individual prizes. It was judged by a panel of experts from Han Kao International in Beijing, highlighting the rigorous standards and prestige of the event.
The following are the standout winners from Xiamen University Malaysia. The official award ceremony is scheduled to take place on 26 April 2025.
