PGSC Badminton Day Successfully Held at XMUM

2024-09-30

The Postgraduate Student Council (PGSC) hosted a lively Badminton Day event on June 21, 2024, aimed at fostering fitness and community among postgraduate students. The event began with registration from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m., followed by a 15-minute warm-up session led by the PGSC President and committee members.

Warm-up session led by the PGSC President, Joel Foo.

An engaging ice-breaking activity then divided participants into groups of eight for a unique 4 vs. 4 badminton game. In this format, only one player from each team was on the court at a time, rotating out after hitting the shuttlecock to allow a teammate to step in. This activity helped participants get to know each other quickly.

After a group photo, participants were free to play badminton in their preferred pairs and matchups. The event, which saw 22 students in attendance, concluded successfully at 10:00 p.m. It fostered a sense of community, collaboration, and commitment to a healthy lifestyle among the postgraduate students. PGSC XMUM looks forward to continuing to organize sports-related bonding events for a healthier postgraduate community.
