Postgraduate student leadership at Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) is an important area which the Research and Postgraduate Centre (RPC) is working to nurture. 

Efforts have been initiated to ensure we have work ready candidates at the postgraduate level by such student-led initiatives with the Postgraduate Student Council (PGSC). This 20 December 2023, the PGSC is conducting the 2024 General Elections for its council members. Comprising of postgraduate students from various academic discipline, a total of 11 election candidates will be competing for the following PGSC’24 seats which are for the leadership positions of the President, Vice President, and Public Relation Officers

Postgraduate students have familiarized themselves with the action oriented visions and goals of the 11 candidates during the candidature briefing session recently. The 'Manifesto and Campaigning Week' is set to commence until the 19 December 2023. During the 'Manifesto and Campaigning Week', social media activities and manifestos exhibition within the university compound shall provide platforms for candidates to articulate their visions and connect with their fellow postgraduate peers.
