NESE Master Student Receives Best Oral Presentation Award at the 8th International Conference on Low Carbon and Asia Beyond

The Research and Postgraduate Centre congratulates Chin Min Yee, a master’s student in New Energy Science and Engineering from XMUM School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, on receiving the Best Presenter Award at the 8th International Conference on Low Carbon and Asia Beyond, which was held virtually on 18-19 October 2022. 

Chin Min Yee conducted her work “Developing Sustainability Portfolio with Environmental, Economic, and Social Integration: Municipal solid waste management in Malaysia” under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Vincent Woon Kok Sin. She proposes a sustainability portfolio interconnecting the three sustainability pillars (environmental, economic, and social), to determine the sustainability performance of municipal solid waste treatment facilities.

Hosted by De La Salle University and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, the 8th International Conference on Low Carbon and Asia Beyond focused on “Sustainable Development towards Carbon Neutrality”. This conference is a high-impact platform, bringing together researchers and stakeholders from academia, government, and private sectors, to share the knowledge and experiences for transforming low-carbon development in Asia and beyond.
