Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to China, YB Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing Visits XMUM

The Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to the People’s Republic of China cum Chairman of Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC), YB Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing visited Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 21 June 2022. He was accompanied by Mr. Samuel Lee, the Chief Executive Officer of MCBC.

During his visit, YB Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing toured the campus, inspected the teaching and research facilities, and met with representatives of XMUM students. He was impressed by XMUM’s development progress and spoke highly of the university’s insistence on quality. He also expressed his hope that XMUM would continue to emphasis on first-class teaching and research, producing more outstanding talents for Malaysia.

XMUM President, Prof. Wang Ruifang, warmly welcomed YB Dato’ Sri and his team for the visit. He thanked YB for his encouragement and pledged that XMUM will continue to pursue excellence in both teaching and research, nurturing talents that would contribute to the long-term friendship between China and Malaysia. He reiterated the university’s commitment to provide scholarships to attract high-quality students from Malaysia and other countries to study with XMUM.
