BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Haw has 9 years’ teaching experience in higher education institutions starting his academic career in both public and private universities. He gained his Bachelor Degree in Nuclear Science and earned his PhD in the area of Materials Science from The National University of Malaysia (UKM) and has worked as postdoctoral research fellow at University of Malaya (UM) from 2013-2016 before joining Xiamen University Malaysia. Prior to joining as full time academic staff in XMUM, he has been teaching as a part-time lecturer in private university and coached for several courses during his postdoc tenure in University of Malaya. Currently, he played administrative role in coordinating and delivering effective tertiary-level professional development programme with Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and postgraduate programme. His current roles at New Energy Science and Engineering majorly involve teaching required courses (major core and major elective), supervising final year project for undergraduates, and pedagogical support for technology enhanced learning.
