The 20th session of XMUM Humanities Forum, themed "Translation, Literature and Politics: A Study of World Literature and 20th-Century Chinese Translation Journals", was successfully held on Friday, 31 October 2025 at Xiamen University Malaysia.

Organized by the Department of Chinese Studies, the lecturer featured Dr. Cui Feng, a scholar of translation studies and comparative literature, as the keynote speaker. He now serves as a Senior Lecturer, and a coordinator of the minor in Translation programme at Nanyang Techological University, Singapore.

During the lecture, Dr. Cui Feng used the journal World Literature as an example to explain the development of Chinese translation literature in the 20th century. He also introduced useful theories and research methods, helping the audience gain a clearer and deeper understanding of this area of study.
