From 10 to 11 September 2025, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) co-organized the International Conference on Communication, Engineering and Technology (ICoCET) with Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), which was held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The two-day event featured keynote speeches by internationally renowned experts, technical paper presentations, and engaging interactive sessions, offering participants valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge and ideas.

Among the distinguished invited speakers, Dr. Khuzairi bin Masrakin from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering delivered a talk titled "Microstrip Annular Ring Resonator for Liquid Material Permittivity Characterisation".

In addition, three research papers from Department of EEE have been presented on ICoCET 2025:

1. "Microstrip Annular Ring Resonator for Liquid Material Permittivity Characterisation" by Dr. Khuzairi bin Masrakin

2. "Design and Optimization of a Microstrip-Integrated Microfluidic Glucose Detection Sensor for Non-Invasive Monitoring" by Lin Mingjing (Class of 2025 Alumnus)

3. "Development of Smart Safety Helmet for Industrial Applications: An IoT-Based Approach" by Darren So Jin Han (Class of 2025 Alumnus) 

ICoCET 2025 aims to provide a dynamic platform for professionals, researchers, academicians, and industry experts to share insights and foster interest in emerging applications, challenges, and innovations in the fields of Antenna and Propagation, Microwave Engineering and Optical Engineering.
