The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre congratulates Sheldon Kong, an undergraduate student from the School of Communication, for being awarded as one of the top 15 winners of Students Award in Communication: Persuasive Pen Prize, at the Malaysia Public Relations Awards (MPRA) 2024.
Hosted by Public Relations & Communications Association of Malaysia (PRCA), MPRA is the industry award aiming to recognise successful campaigns of organisations and PR-Consultancies, as well as individuals that define the cutting edge of work in the public relations arena. The Persuasive Pen Prize celebrates excellence in communication and persuasive writing among university students across Malaysia, promoting professional development and industry engagement.
Sheldon's editorial, "The Power of Authentic Storytelling: How Brands Can Build Trust in the Digital Age", written under the supervision of Dr. Aleena Tan, earned him a spot as one of the top 15 winners, and he is now accredited and recognised as a Junior Associate Member of PRCA Malaysia. This recognition also marks a significant milestone for the School of Communication's BA in Communication (Honours) programme.
