BIOGRAPHY

As a group of oceanographers, Prof. Luo and his team employ a variety of analytical tools, including data synthesis, eco-physiological models, and ecosystem models to investigate the complexities of marine microbial ecology and biogeochemistry in the context of climate change. Our research interests are focused on understanding the intricate interplay between critical oceanic processes such as nitrogen fixation, heterotrophic bacteria-dissolved organic matter (DOM) dynamics, viral ecology, and the carbon and nitrogen cycles. By delving into these topics, we aim to gain a comprehensive understanding of the complex mechanisms that govern marine ecosystem dynamics and their potential responses to climate change.
