Dr. Haiyan LI studied Physical Chemistry at Xiamen University (China). She obtained her PhD degree in 1995 from the same University, under the guidance of Prof. Qirui CAI and Prof. Hongbin ZHANG. Since 1995 she has been working at Xiamen University where she is in charge of teaching group of Physical Chemistry. Her current research interests include Carbon material, carbon nanotube especially, and its application in catalysis connecting to energy. She has published 30 papers including in top venues such as Angew. Chem. Int. Ed .
Catalysis in connection to new green energy and chemical reaction. The target reactions are including: synthesis higher alcohols from syngas, and hydrogenation of aromatic hydrocarbon, olefin; etc. In particular, focusing on selective hydrogenation and organic synthesis using carbon nanomaterial –based catalysts;
