On 6 December 2024, a group of 27 students from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, School of Electrical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, accompanied by their lecturers, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Wong Shen Yuong and Dr. Mohammadmahdi Ariannejad, visited MIMOS Berhad, Malaysia's national Applied Research and Development Centre. This visit offered the students an exceptional opportunity to gain practical exposure to the real-world applications of their academic studies.

The primary objective of the visit was to enhance students’ understanding of semiconductor fabrication and device engineering processes. The agenda included a company tour, during which the students were introduced to advanced equipment and cutting-edge technology. This hands-on experience bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical industry practices, enhancing their comprehension of semiconductor technology and its vital role in modern electronics.
