The inaugural DMT Showcase Event at Xiamen University Malaysia, hosted by the Digital Media Technology Programme, School of Computing and Data Science, took place from April 26 to 27, 2024.

The event aimed to showcase the diverse talents of DMT students and position them for internship opportunities in the gaming industry and related digital media sectors. It served as a platform for students or professionals in digital media-related fields to exhibit their creative projects, innovations, and talents.

During the 2-day event, students presented a variety of digital media artworks, including 2D animation, 3D animation, game design and development, augmented reality, virtual reality, 3D modeling, video editing, and final year projects. Attendees had the opportunity to try out video games, explore virtual reality (VR) environments, and engage with interactive installations.

Additionally, students delivered presentations on various topics related to digital media, such as emerging trends, career opportunities, and technological advancements, providing valuable knowledge and insights to the attendees.

Networking opportunities were also provided, allowing students to connect with professionals, educators, and industry representatives, enabling them to share ideas, collaborate on projects, and explore potential internship or job opportunities within the digital media industry.
