The Research and Postgraduate Centre extends its congratulations to six XMUM academics who have secured the prestigious grants under the Ministry of Higher Education’s Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS).
The six recipients, from School of Electrical Engineering & Artificial Intelligence, School of Energy & Chemical Engineering, China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences, and School of Economics & Management, have collectively been awarded a total of RM 639,946.
Currently, there are 34 research projects led by 33 XMUM academics that have received funding through FRGS grant, amounting to RM 3,785,837.
FRGS is a research grant provided by the Ministry of Higher Education in Malaysia to support fundamental research in various disciplines such as science, engineering, social sciences, and humanities. The FRGS embodies the philosophy of promoting fundamental research aimed at elevating intellectual standards, fostering innovation in technology, and enriching a dynamic cultural landscape, aligning with the national aspirations of Malaysia.
