86 XMUM Publications Selected as ESI Top 1% Highly Cited Papers

86 research papers published by XMUM faculty members have been recognized as Essential Science Indicators (ESI) Top Papers, among which seven (7) were picked as Hot Papers, according to the ESI database updated in March 2023.

 

“Top Papers” are the top 1% of papers by field and publication year, while “Hot Papers” are the top 0.1% of papers cited in the current bimonthly period.

These 86 publications were contributed by thirteen researchers, including 7 from the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, 2 from China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences, 1 from the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 1 from the School of Computing and Data Science, 1 from School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and 1 from Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.

Up till today, 1,137 papers published by XMUM faculty members are listed in the Web of Science with a total citation of 45,206, contributing to 39.76 times per paper on average.

It is also worth pointing out that, since XMUM was listed among the global ESI Top 1% for the Clinical Medicine discipline in January 2021, the university has shown continuous excellence in the field with an increase of publications from 37 to 93 papers, total citation times from 4,685 to 26,736, averaged citation from 126.62 to 287.48 times per paper and number of Top Papers from 10 to 27.

Other than Clinical Medicine, XMUM’s publications are also highly cited in other fields, including Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Engineering and so on.
