BSFL is a biorecycling organism that is able to convert large quantities and broad varieties of organic pollutants and substrates in food or animal wastes to edible protein and fats during their growth. It contains more than 28% of lipids and more than 40% of proteins. Due to its high-quality nutritional content and waste treatment performance, BSFL can be used as future foods and alternative animal feed while reducing the environmental pollution.
