2022 September Physics Program Orientation

Date: 24 & 25 September 2022

1) Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony held on 24 September 2022, 9.00 am until 10.30 pm, in A4 #G01.

The ceremony started by the introduction of XMUM Physics Society by president, Choo Wei Zheng. Next, the ceremony continued with the talk of Professor Ong Chong Kim, followed by the talk of Associated Professor Lim Yen Kheng and Assistant Professor Chung Fei Fang.

2) Lab tour

The lab tour started on 1.00 pm until 3.00 pm, occupied Physics Lab 1, Lab 5, and Lab 6. This lab tour is supervised by Assistant Professor Chung Fei Fang and Dr. Siti Khatijah Binti Md Saad.

3) Physics Game

We had played some physics related and interesting game, which includes: DIY parachute, bubble run, and etc.

2022 XMUM Cup Physics Competition Ceremony & Physics Nobel Prize Public Talk

Date: 17 October 2022

Time: 3.30 pm until 5.30 pm

Venue: A4#G07

1) 2022 XMUM Cup Physics Competition Ceremony

The ceremony started with the talk of Professor Ong Chong Kim, followed by the speech of Dr. Zhang Ying.

The winners of the competition were as followed:

First place: Tay Yi Chong, Chong Hwa Independent High School, Kuala Lumpur

Second place: Chin Jia Yao, Chong Hwa Independent High School, Kuala Lumpur

Third place: Wong Jian Bin, Chong Hwa Independent High School, Kuala Lumpur

Fourth place: Soo Yi Kang, Chinese High School Batu Pahat

Fifth place: Kang Yi Te, Chung Ling Private High School

Sixth place: Chong Hong Yee, Foon Yew High School Kulai

2)  Physics Nobel Prize Public Talk

Talked by Professor Tomasz Paterek. The talk was opened to Physics Program students.
