On 24 February 2023, enhanced collaboration was formed between Cardiff University and Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM). Revised 3+1 and 4+1 agreements were signed in the presence of Prof. Urfan Khaliq, the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Head of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences of Cardiff University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zhang Ying, the Vice-President of Xiamen University Malaysia.

The enhanced collaboration has broadened the Postgraduate Study Pathway between both institutions. New programmes were added to the current agreements with Cardiff University, providing students with a greater variety of choices and opportunities to further their studies overseas. Moving forward, this collaboration will be continued with shared success and common values.
