On 15 February 2023, Assoc. Prof. Zhang Shuo from Department of Hydraulic Engineering, Tsinghua University paid a visit to Xiamen University Malaysia with his 14 students from the department’s social practice team, with the purpose of gaining insights on China’s university education model overseas.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zhang Ying, the Vice-President of Xiamen University Malaysia, welcomed the guests with great warmth. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeap Swee Keong and Asst. Prof. Ir. Dr. Ban Zhen Hong hosted the visit.

The Social Practice Team toured around the campus and visited the laboratories at School of Energy & Chemical Engineering and China-ASEAN College of Marine Sciences. The two institutions also held discussions on the university’s education system and research progress.
