University of Auckland Seeks Partnership with XMUM

On 18 November 2022, Prof. Partha Roop, the Associate Dean (International) of the Faculty of Engineering, The University of Auckland (UOA), visited Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) to seek further partnership.

The discussion involves establishing a Postgraduate Study Pathway in the field of Engineering, in particular the Master of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and the Master of Chemical and Materials Engineering. A common goal was met by both institutions to nurture young talents in the field of Engineering.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zhang Ying, the Vice-President of Xiamen University Malaysia, showed great honour and pleasure to the guests.

After signing a letter of understanding in 2020, today, XMUM and UOA are taking one step further to establish an official partnership with mutual benefits and great trust. In the foreseeable future, potential research collaboration in various Engineering programmes is among the list of goals for both institutions.

Mr. Ryan Gamon, the International Manager at the Faculty of Engineering of UOA, Asst. Prof. Ir. Dr. Liew Chia Pao, Assistant Dean of School of Energy and Chemical Engineering, and Asst. Prof. Ir. Dr. Ban Zhen Hong, Head of Chemical Engineering Bachelor Programme of XMUM also attended the visit.
