BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Zhang received his Ph.D. from Boston University in 2008, following by a post-doctoral research at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Since joining Xiamen University in 2010, he is interested in research on surface and interface physics, such as investigating the electronic and chemical structure of heterostructure formed by wide bandgap materials (e.g., ZnO and SiC) using synchrotron- and lab-based x-ray spectroscopies. Recent studies have focused on the intercalation system of graphene-based materials and their applications.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

  • Electron and x-ray spectroscopies

  • Surface/interface analysis of novel materials, such as Graphene
