Innovation Talk Series #15 was held on 2 March 2022 by XMUM Innovation Center. Mr. Jan Wong, a youth advocate and the founder of OpenMinds, shared his insights on “Building Your Digital Net Worth as a Student” in the webinar.

During the event, Mr. Jan Wong shared his personal experience and his entrepreneurial journey since 17 years old. He laid out a few tips and encouraged the students to get started in building their digital net worth with the following 5 steps:

[1] Discover your keywords;

[2] Create an outlet;

[3] Be discoverable;

[4] Engage in communities;

[5] Be consistent in content creation.

“The true power of your net worth comes when your efforts are compounded,” Mr. Jan Wong said at the end of the talk. 

As an entrepreneur, Mr. Jan Wong has ventured into 8 businesses and consulted hundreds of brands in the region. He is a regional keynote speaker, a regular contributor on BFM radio, a 2-time TEDx speaker, as well as a mentor for multiple startup communities including Techstars Global and NEXT50 Singapore. He has also been recognized as one of the Top 10 New Generation Businessmen to Watch in 2020 and Forbes “30 Under 30 Asia” in 2017. Recently, he has published his first book Building Your Digital Net Worth.
