A Joint Workshop on Mathematics was organized by Xiamen University (XMU) and Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) on 10 July 2021, underlining the close connection between the parent university and the branch campus.

Being the third workshop jointly organized by XMUM Department of Mathematics and XMU School of Mathematical Sciences, this event attracted over 100 attendees from XMU, XMUM and the public.

Ten mathematicians from XMU and XMUM gave talks on their latest research developments, covering a broad range of topics from pure and applied mathematics to mathematical physics. Prof. Tan Shaobin, Dean of XMU School of Mathematical Sciences, and Prof. Teo Lee Peng, HOD of XMUM Department of Mathematics, gave the opening speeches.

This workshop aimed to strengthen the collaboration between XMU and XMUM, as well as to offer people an opportunity to learn about the latest developments in mathematics research.
