The Research Management Center congratulates Li Hui, currently a final-year Finance student from XMUM School of Economics and Management (SEM), on winning the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Best Paper Award in the 22nd Malaysian Finance Association Conference (MFAC) 2020. This national conference was held virtually from 17 to 19 November 2020. In the conference, two CFA Best Paper Awards were selected from 120 accepted submissions.

During the conference, Li Hui presented her paper entitled “Valuation Effect of Corporate Name Changes in Chinese Technology Stocks”. “It’s indeed an honor to receive this prestigious award. Taking part in the conference was an exciting and rewarding experience for me, and the result exceeded my expectations. At the conference, I was inspired by the participants’ academic rigor and enthusiasm for research. The comments and suggestions I received from other participants are invaluable for improving my future research. Besides, I would like to express my heartful gratitude to Dr. Tan Yeng May, who has been a great mentor and teacher. I deeply appreciate her selfless help and dedication. It was a valuable experience to work along with her on the project.”
