Gain a Better Understanding of Ecosystem at GRM Explorer Camp

From 10 to 12 May 2019, a total of 38 students and 2 staff members from Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) joined the 3-day 2-night Green Ranger Malaysia Explorer Camp at Belum Adventure Camp, Pulau Banding, Perak.

With the participants from 9 different clubs and organizations, this camp aims to facilitate the bonds among clubs and allow them to know more, care more and love more of the Mother Nature

This event offered the participants an excellent opportunity to gain a better understanding of what is happening to the Mother Nature and how to protect her. During the three days, students learned about the ecosystem through photos and videos, including the definition of carbon footprint, extinction of animals such as orang-utan and Malayan tiger, tips for sustainable business practices and ways to go green in daily life. Some sessions were conducted through mini games which help students to learn the ecosystem in a lively and interactive way.

Students learned about food web in ecosystem.

This camp was facilitated by Brainy Ranger Malaysia and Green Ranger Malaysia, and XMUM participants received full sponsorship from Emkay Group.
