University of Queensland Representatives Share Further Study Options with XMUM Students

Ms Maj Coop, University of Queensland (UQ) Regional Manager of Southeast Asia for the Faculty of Business, and Ms Wai Yen Chan, UQ Country Manager for Malaysia and Brunei, visited XMUM on 2 October 2018 to introduce various further study options to interested XMUM students.

Ranking number 1 in South East Asia and 16th in the world, the University of Queensland Faculty of Business offers a variety of postgraduate programme. Among the programmes are Economics, Business, Entrepreneurship, Management, Finance, Commerce. 

Ms Coop shared and discussed the privileges that XMUM graduates can enjoy when pursuing postgraduate level of study at UQ’s various Business programmes. Below are a few highlights from Ms Maj Coop’s talk:

1.    Students from any major who are interested in international business and global trade can choose to take the law programme for their postgraduate study.

2.    Students can choose to take a double major postgraduate degree and complete in one and a half years’ or two years’ time depending on the double major programme chosen.

3.    Students enrolled in any programme in Business, Economic, and Law (BEL) will be eligible to enjoy the service of Student Employability Team (SET) to help increase their employability. For more information, visit bel.uq.edu.au/set.

4.    Malaysian students applying to UQ’s Business, Economics, or Law programmes will be offered scholarship opportunities. Currently, UQ is reviewing its scholarship policies, so interested students should closely follow its scholarship webpage.

Interested students can choose to apply for UQ’s February or July intakes. The deadline for February intake application is before the end of May, while for July intake, it is before the end of November.
